The surroundings, the ambiance, the character, the peace.
The room had been poorly prepared. Tissue box empty, broken light bulb, toilet paper not replenished, only one tea bag, etc.
Comfort of the room, overall cleanliness of the room and quiet nature of the hotel rooms.
Staff were less than helpful at times with regards to ordering food or drink. There was an opened bottle of water left by our beds on arrival.
Good size and clean Double Room and en suite bathroom.
A little far out for visiting Oxford.
the hotel its self is really nice and the location is stunning
The house keeping was poor to say the least,1 set of towels for 3 nights at over £100 a night was just not good enough, and as for cleaning the room forget it.On the first morning no clean glass provided just the dirty one left, second night no water but the enpty glass bottle left at the bedside.
Didnt rate friendliness of reception staff very high. There was no welcome upon arrival. Had booked 2 double rooms and upon arrival found that one room was in the main part of the hotel and the other in another building!!! Luckily, they were able to change the rooms so we were closer. The food was excellent
I was somewhat disappointed in this hotel. Although the facilities were generally ok, with a little more effort the hotel could be much better. For example, although the room was clean and comfortable, the shower didnt work very well; and while the food for breakfast was fine, it was rather uninspiring.
Helpfulness of the Reception desk staff in booking taxis and info.Situation of the hotel was very pretty and the working watermill a nice feature. Liked having an iron provided in the room
Would have liked a few more items included in the room- a dressing gown, cotton wool, fresh milk for tea. The room was a bit dusty. The shower was very weak
My room was noisy due to large fans running outside. When I complained. I was told that nobody else had complained and that the manager didn't work weekends. The breakfast was not cooked properly. Generally a feeling that they were doing me a favour.
1. Situation by the river. 2. Nice room.
Common areas of hotel rather tired and furnished out of character with the building and it's surroundings.
Wonderful location on the banks of the Thames. Resturant was spectacular with the water wheel
Suite 36 was excellent, Evening very good
Hotel ideally situated alongside the river Thames, easy parking. Hotel staff very helpful.
The hotel building had potential but it needed some repair and tlc. I had stayed there before some 15 years ago and it was a very comfortable warm enviroment. Today it lacked that warmth and atmosphere and was stark and barish. Lounge and bar were clinical - dining area dark and cold.
Its position by the river
Walking along the banks of the Upper Thames.Good food in restaurant ant very couteous service.
Longe chairs were hard and not relaxing.
Great location on the River Thames. Nice sized room. Good car parking with token exit.
Breakfast - greasy, poor coffee, with staff who did not seem to care.
